Happy Birthday Bekki

Bekkis birthday isnt today

its tomorrow

but i wont have time to blog tomorrow

so i thought i would get a head start

i remember one year on bekkis birthday

she got in a fight with her family

so she came to my house

and we watched finding nemo

afterwards i was walking her home

a whole three houses away

and she hugged me SO tight and said

you are just what i need

thank you

and every year on her birthday 

ALWAYS ended with a streaking party

...

im not kidding

i really was SO SHY

and bekki really brought me out of that

...

forcefully

but she always wanted to go streaking

she was a very free spirit

and she would literally rip my cloths off of me

[that sounds worse than it is..]

anyway

so streaking it was!

and streaking it will always be!

in fact!

me and bekki went streaking at girls camp one year

and we both got kicked out

banned

never to return!

so ya know what we did?

we went streaking through the

young womens presidents front yard!

yup

rebles

she always got me to do the craziest things!

lighting stuff of fire

making nasty food for her brothers

digging HUGE holes in her back yard

sneaking out

and really...lots of stuff with fire

bekki taught me how to be myself

accept myself

and more importantly accept others

i will admit im not always the best at that

but bekki really was

she did not judge people

she loved everyone

she accepted everyone

she wanted to be everyones friend 

she would do anything to make her friends happy

i kick myself for everyday i didnt hang out wither her

or every time i didnt text her back

but i found a FB message she sent me

awhile back that said

You are always the funniest person to be around. 

You will always be one of my very best friends.

 I hope we can board and just be crazy again soon.

I just cant believe she is gone

but no matter what we are still blood sisters

and i will always have those memories

and i will always be here for her family

and i will always remember and love her

losing bekki has taught me not to take 

anyone for granted 

and because it is her 19th birthday tomorrow

in her honor i will share some stories about her 

with you fellow readers (:

short story...bekki taught me how to use tampons..end of story

girls camp involved

-streaking

-running away

-taking pictures of people in the middle of

the night and laughing at their faces

in the quick second of the flash

-pulling pranks on other girls

and all that got us kicked out..pfff

girls just wanna have fun

one night we were having a sleepover

and it was like 3 in the morning

her brothers were watching t.v in the other room

and we decided we wanted pancakes

so we asked if they wanted some too

and they did

but us being the evil little girls we were

we put

dog hair

spit

dirt

boogers

salt

pepper

etc. 

in their pancakes..

they ate them...

and wanted more!?

the more they wanted the worse they got

until they started finding hair in them and

figured us out

another sleep over we were having

i woke up suddenly because i felt something on me

i open my eyes

its bekki

straddling me with my shirt up

trying to pierce my belly button!

i freaked out

we fought for a minute till she gave up

our favorite thing to eat

was spaghetti o's and goldfish 

in jr. high we did high jump together

and for one meet

we duct tapped stripes on our legs

then used tanning lotion

to tan stripes onto our legs

we laughed so hard when we took the duct tape off

yet we were so excited for the meet the next day

we looked ridiclous

bekki found this band called 

Hey Monday

and was obsessed with them!

she showed them to me and now i love them too

but they had a concert coming up

my mom wouldnt let me go so i told her

i was sleeping over at bekkis

me bekki her sister rachel and our friend danelle

all went up to the concert

we LOVED it

but bekki took her bandana off and told me

to take my shirt off and wear it

...i got to the point where

whatever she said i would do basically

so i did and i climbed up on danelle's shoulders

and we were all rockin out when

guess who comes up to say hi?

our young womens leader

awkward

her family always took me snowboarding

to brighton with them

we shared a passion for snowboarding

we were together so much

that our periods were in sync

cause thats what happens with girls

so we were both on our period

raging at the world

so naturally we took a box of tampons

down to her basement and lit them of fire

chanting hateful words

one summer there was a big

circle of dead grass where her trampoline used to be

..we got lighter fluid

and made

"THE RING OF FIRE"

and that it was...

her mom comes outside and says

"uhh! you guys! dont burn down

the house at least ok!?"

...we didnt(:

i think that is all for now

but i hope these stories made some of you laugh

i know they were a little TMI

but bekki had

NO PERSONAL BUBBLE!

i love her

i miss her

but i know she is watching over us all now

and i hope she is snowboarding up in heaven

last thing!

i watch THE VOICE all the time

and Cassadee Pope 

the lead singer of Hey Monday is on it!

i freaked out!

i almost called bekki when i saw her...

but cassadee is totally killing it

and is still on the show!

a week or two ago she sang

over you by miranda lambert

and i cried my eyes out

EVERY SINGLE WORD

in that song reminds me of bekki

and ever better one of her favorite singers is singing it!

now i listen to that song of repeat every night

till i fall asleep

here it is

even now it brings tears to my eyes...
