Baking...?

so i have this internship going on, at this B-E-A-UTIFUL gourmet bake shop called
THE SWEET TOOTH FAIRY
but before i get to that, i decided i should test out my baking skills ya know see where im at...so my sister katie made these home made oreo's and raved about them and i thought "fabulous! i'll make those tomorrow" so tomorrow came around and i got all my ingredients for these cookies...i mixed them all, followed the recipe and the "dough" looked a lot more like cake batter...so i tried to ROLL this cake batter mess...NOOOOO bad idea (duh) it was horrible, so i dumped it down the drain. then my sister sent me the recipe she used...it calls for 5 ingredients...how wonderful is that!? so i called taylor over to make them with me (he is a GREAT brownie maker he makes these KILLER mint brownies...yeah, to die for) so i thought he could help me out a bit. so we mix our 3 ingredients for the cookie wafer part. the recipe said you could use your hands to mix it with but my hands are small and weak...BUT TAAYYLLOORRR has big strong hands... and a big mouth i guess.

we then proceeded to roll the dough into TEENY TINY balls which i did...because i have the smaller hands but taylor's big hands were great for pinching the perfect amount of dough for me to roll.

they only needed to bake for 7 minutes and the recipe made like a ZILLION little cookies, anyway after they baked they looked like this.

then we made the filling which called for just 2 ingredients, best recipe EVER haha simple, just how i like my baking!

and then, i frosted them! so simple, kind of time consuming, but simple AND DELICIOUS i encourage everyone to make these..(:

so good(:

I N T E R N S H I P
so today was my first day interning at
THE SWEET TOOTH FAIRY

when i got there at 9:30 a.m i went back into the kitchen
with jessica she had me organize cupcakes on huge trays
so they could be frosted and there were TONS
of cupcakes to be frosted
i also...
did the dishes
dipped strawberries in chocolate
helped jacqui decorate the cupcakes
baked some sugar cookies
cleaned the glass displays
and...
ran the floor(:
there was another girl who got there about 45 minutes before i had
to leave, her name is Ellie
she was auditioning for a job there so together
we made it through a hectic morning
yes MORNING
they had these coupons out and today was the last
day to use them ....people were
flocking to us!
i couldn't quite handle the register so Ellie did
that while i boxed the goodies for the customers(:
i had so much fun
and people order TONS of sweets...holy cow
boxes and boxes at a time! it was so fun though!
i loved talking to the customers
of course there were some struggles like
our first customer on our own...yeah i was
trying to get a sticker to put on the box
and the sticker got stuck to my glove
then i knocked the sticker roll over and it rolled...
a long ways which caused us to burst into laughter...
and the poor customer was in a rush.
the customers also asked a lot of questions about
ingredients...we dont bake the goods...so
we just gave out very best answers!
this one lady came in and ordered 10 cupcakes
and 13 cookies she asked
TONS
of questions and while we were ringing her up
she said
"good thing this isn't your first day or anything
to have a lady like me asking all these questions"
me and Ellie just looked at each other
and laughed and said
"well it is our first day"
haha it was so fun though i go two times a week
so i will go again friday and im SO excited!
everyone should go and check it out!
